A hard truth for you: if you aren’t creating meaningful content and a community surrounding your brand, you aren’t going to grow your business to the level we want to see you succeed at!
The good news? Building a brand on social doesn’t have to come from paid ads.
You can build a wonderful community of supporters organically. While investing some money in social media support or programs to help make your life easier is beneficial, you don’t need to spend tons of money on monthly ads to succeed.
What you do need? A solid strategy and lots of planning. So let us break it down for you…

2. Create a strategy for each social platform you are on. While this may feel like a lot of work, each platform is different in how users interact. Be sure to create content with that in mind to succeed on that platform. (I.e., LinkedIn is for storytelling, Instagram is Reel-focused or data-driven carousels, and TikTok is great for showcasing your personality and authentically showing up).
3. Optimize your bio. This will help the algorithms understand who you are and what you post about—making it easier for your audience to find you! If you aren’t sure where to start, we have a special freebie coming out this week. Stay tuned!
4. Foster a community. This starts by following accounts whose interests align with yours. When starting out, you can build connections with them and foster a community within their community. Comment, DM, like, and engage as much as possible!
5. Create and share content targeted to your audience. An excellent place to start is answering questions your target audience would want to know about. If you are a product-based business, share aesthetic content to pique their interests with copy that helps solve a problem in their life with your products.
6. Reshare valuable content that you think your audience will value. This not only helps you build a community with niche-related brands but helps engage the community you are slowly starting to create. It shows them why they followed you in the first place.
7. Invest in Later. You will have to spend some money on this, but we swear it is worth it! It makes sharing your content easier than ever. You just have to spend a bit of time planning and creating your content; then, you can schedule and have the rest of the month to yourself, focusing on other aspects of your business.
8. Hashtag wisely. Hashtags are still alive and well. Taking some time to research hashtags relevant to your niche will help you reach your target audience faster. Take 30 minutes to look at other accounts in your niche and what hashtags they use. Then, build a strategy around a selection of hashtags.
